Immediately afterwards

Minor procedures often allow discharge the same day. You will be admitted through day-stay, go through to the operating room, wake up in recovery and then return to day-stay prior to discharge

Most other surgeries stay overnight, leaving hospital sometime between 9 and 10am the next day.

You will see your surgeon at the end of the day of your surgery, and again the following morning.
